Travis L. Johnson, Jr., 69, of Port Arthur, TX departed this life on April 17, 2018 with his wife by his side.  He was born in Pensacola, FL to the late Travis Johnson, Sr. and Mary Ellen Johnson.  He was raised in Moss Point, MS where he attended Magnolia High School then went on to further his education in Job Corp in San Diego, CA.  Travis moved to Port Arthur, TX in 1974, where he was a fisherman and worked in the refining industry.   He was a member of New St. John Baptist Church, member of the male chorus and Laymen.  Travis was a lover of children, making sure they got an education and he loved sports.

He later met the love of his life, his loving wife of 37 years, Everlena Brooks Johnson and to that union four children, three daughters, Danielle, Erica, JoEllen and one son Adrian Sr.; 13 grandchildren, six sisters, Thelma Johnson of Moss Point, MS, Barbara Rose of Houston, TX, Carolyn Lawson of Detroit, MI, Ruthie Baldwin of Moss Point, MS, Evonne Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Mary Renee Braggs of Port Arthur, TX; four brothers, Eugene Johnson of Moss Point, MS, Derek Little of LA, Sam Thomas and Anthony Johnson of Port Arthur, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at New St. John Baptist Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.
