Ms. Bernadine Jason, of Arlington, Texas, was born August 14, 1944 in Port Arthur where she spent most of her life.  Her parents were the late Rev. Andrew Jason, Sr. and Laviele Armstrong Jason. Bernadine was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 16, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Arlington.

The Family Hour and Viewing will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 549 W. Gulfway Dr., Port Arthur, TX 77640, on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 9:00 AM.  The Home-going service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.

Bernadine is survived by one daughter, Alondra “Terri” Jacobs; two brothers, Lester Jason of Carson, CA and Andrew Jason of Arlington; one sister, Geraldine Jason Dipmore of Bonaire, GA; four grandchildren, Andreika Lockett, Rikki Woods, Journei Jacobs, and Jourrey Jacobs; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Sadly, Bernadine was preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Laviele Jason; three brothers, Herbert, Donald, and James Jason; and one grandchild, Quentis Lockett.
