At about 2:30p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash in Jefferson County.  The crash occurred north of Spurlock.

Preliminary reports indicate that a 2005 Jeep Liberty was traveling northbound on U.S. 69 when the right rear tire blew out.  After the blowout, the vehicle rolled over several times before coming to rest.

The two minor children in the vehicle were both transported to area hospitals in serious condition.  The 1-year-old child was transported by medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston and the 3-year-old was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

The driver and mother of the two children, Destinee Guidry, 23, of Beaumont, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for observation.

At this time, Troopers are working to determine if the children were properly secured in car seats during the crash.

All northbound traffic lanes of U.S. 69 were closed, but have since reopened.

This crash remains under investigation and there are no additional details to be released at this time.
