BALLPARK TASTING OFFERS BBQ FUNNEL CAKE

Where can you find a barbecue funnel cake? At your nearest major-league ballpark.
The Houston Astros, in association with Aramark, will host a ballpark tasting event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in the Diamond Club at Minute Maid Park in Houston. The barbecue funnel cake is among a number of dishes the event will offer and includes pulled pork, chopped beef, smoked sausage, citrus kale black bean slaw, and golden grain mustard barbecue sauce served on a deep-fried funnel cake.
If that’s not creative enough, there’s also the .45 Express, an all-beef Nolan Ryan hot dog topped with hot Cheetos, green chili queso, tortilla strips, cheese, pico de gallo, pickled jalapenos, sour cream and cilantro served on corn tortillas inside a flour tortilla. This dish will be served at Torchy’s Tacos in center field.
Other not-as-daring items include a barbecue burger and 713 burger, loaded taco fries, three little pigs, cinnamon bun sundae, DAT Creole meat pie and cheddar biscuits with burnt ends.
