Janet Calhoun Clayton, 98, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018.  A native of Cheneyville, LA she was a longtime resident of Port Arthur.  She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Park Place Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lawrence Clayton, Sr.; her parents, Dave and Jane Calhoun; four sons, Houston Tyler, Erving Tyler, William Tyler, John Dale Clayton; two daughters, Linda and Brenda Clayton and twelve brothers and sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memories are two sons, Murphy Tyler of North Hills, CA, John David Clayton (Lisa) of Forney, TX and daughter, Ester Mims (Larry) of Maricopa, AZ and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a special grandson, Solomon Tyler; a special adopted daughter, Patricia Williams; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at St. Luke Baptist Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
