Became the third-leading scorer in Texas Southern program history after scoring 26 points and handing out five assists in a 71-66 home win over Jackson State, then scored 25 points and five rebounds in a 66-56 home win over Grambling State. Moved into tie for second in NCAA women’s basketball scoring average at 24.4 with Kelsey Mitchell of Ohio State, just behind Megan Gustafson of Iowa (24.8).

He previously served as sports editor since August 2015 and has won or shared eight first-place awards from state newspaper associations and corporations. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, grew up mostly in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
