Sherman Lesley Bromley, Sr. born June 11, 1945 in Brownstone, VA to the late George Seldom and the late Hortense Crosby departed this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Truneshia Bromley and sister Garnett Bromley. He is survived by his devoted wife Elaine and seven children Sherman, Dartania, Lakeya, Lepisha, Teheerah, Jessica, Matthew, Amy and Anthonia; sisters Phylis, Marionette, India, Yvette; brothers Ronnie, Richard, Clarence, and Ford Jr.; 21 grandchildren, great grandchildren, in-laws Matthew and Eunice Delmar; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sherman came to Port Arthur as a fisherman and also worked at Drago Supply and Arco Polymer before starting his own business as a carpenter from which he retired.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Harvest Time Bible Church, 4430 Jimmy Johnson Blvd with Dr. Marvin Moore officiating. Visitation will be 12 noon until service time. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
