Roddy T. Weatherly, 62, of Groves, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at his residence in Groves. He was born June 1, 1955 in Port Arthur to the late, Horace and Barbara Walker Weatherly. Roddy was a retired boilermaker with Gulf Oil Corporation with 16 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing and a good round of golf.

Roddy is survived by his sons, Michael Weatherly of Groves, Kevin Weatherly of Tyler, and Charles Weatherly of Groves; his partner, Bonnie Morrison of Winnie; his sisters, Cherlyn Benoit and her husband Joe of Groves, Maureen Whiteside of Groves, and Judy Gothia of Nederland; also his granddaughter, Hunter Comeaux of Winnie.

A gathering of the family and friends will be from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm Saturday, February 10, 2018 with his memorial service to begin at 6:30 pm at Melancon’s Funeral Home 2605 Avenue H. in Nederland with Father Shane Baxter officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
