TRACK: Vincent blazes 60-meter dash in 6.76 seconds

BATON ROUGE — Port Arthur freshman Kary Vincent Jr. ran his debut LSU race Friday and set an impressive mark.

Vincent’s 6.74 seconds in the 60-meter dash earned him fourth place in LSU’s home Bayou Bengal Invitational. He shaved off 0.02 second off his qualifying run and posted the second-fastest time this season.

Vincent plays cornerback on LSU’s football team.
