Barbara (Cookie) Parker Johnson was born to the union of Louise Cole Parker and the late Tom Parker, Sr. on March 14, 1951 in Port Arthur, Texas.  Cookie passed away on January 22, 2018 at the age of 66. Barbara attended Thomas Jefferson High School.  She was employed by Jack Brooks Airport as chief maintenance engineer and retired after 29 years of service.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Louise Cole Parker; daughter, Nicole Parker; brother, Tom Parker, Jr.; sister, Leatrice T. Lawrence; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
