A Beaumont man was arrested for deadly conduct, discharging a firearm in connection with a late night Tuesday shooting in Beaumont.

Beaumont police said in an issued statement that Jarvis Blue, 24, was charged in connection with a shooting incident at 501 Washington Blvd. that occurred around 10:30 p.m.

Officers responded to that address after a report of shots fired. There, they learned that numerous vehicles and suspects were involved in a disturbance in which two Beaumont men were shot.

Both victims went to Baptist Hospital by private auto, with wounds that were not life threatening, police said.

Detectives later arrested Blue and were continuing to investigate the incident Wednesday, although they said suspects, victims and witnesses were providing little cooperation.
