Beaumont police were searching for two, perhaps three suspects in the armed robbery of a game room.

Police said at least two suspects — one armed— entered Donna’s Novelties, 2562 IH-10E around 8:45 p.m. Saturday, demanding money.

The victim gave the suspects what was described as a “large sum of money”; then, after the suspects fled in a gray Dodge Charger, the victim followed them to an undisclosed location. The victim then returned to the robbery site and called police.

Police urged the public to contact the police first when crimes occur in order to give them a better chance of pursuing the suspects. Contacting police gives them a better chance to preserve evidence at the scene as well, they said.
