Sadie Theriot, 86, of Port Acres, died Sunday, August 20, 2017. She was born on April 19, 1931, in Sunset, Louisiana, to Josephine Richard Guidry and Joseph Rufus Guidry.

Sadie owned Sonny’s Place Cafe, Theriot’s Hardware Store, a Texaco Station in Port Acres, and a Fina Station next to Alfred’s Grocery in Port Ares. She enjoyed cooking and doing for others.

Survivors include her son, Gerald Theriot and his wife, Daphne, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Jason Theriot and his wife, Tammy, of Groves, Kim Hiesner of Nederland, and Kory Theriot of Orange; great-grandchildren, Holly, Josh, Alexis, Bryce, and Madison; great-great-grandson, Elijah; and sister, Georgann Eagleson of Port Acres. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of fifty years, Sonny Theriot.

A gathering of Mrs. Theriot’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral servie will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with her interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
