Mark Porterie, superintendent of the Port Arthur ISD, was the guest speaker for the Press Club of Southeast Texas on Thursday afternoon at Café Del Rio in Beaumont. Porterie spoke about the district’s good accountability ratings, passing the tax ratification election and looking forward to the upcoming school year.
