MHS-Sterling kickoff now 10 a.m. Friday

Port Arthur Memorial’s varsity scrimmage against Baytown Sterling will kick off an hour earlier Friday morning.
The 10 a.m. scrimmage at Memorial Stadium is designated as “Our Day to Shine,” the Texas High School Coaches Education Foundation’s Benevolence Fundraiser. The fund was established by the association’s board of directors to assist athletes and coaches with special needs or hardships.
More than 900 schools have participated in “Our Day to Shine” and have raised more than $383,000, with more than $382,000 paid. Admission is $1.
