Santiaga Garcia, 94, of Groves, died, Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Groves.  A native of San Fernando, Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico moved to Port Arthur in 1956. She was a member of the Dumas – Guadalupanas.  She retired from Luby’s as a waitress.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by her sister Abundia Borrego and brothers Juan De La Cruz, Margarito De La Cruz, Jesus De La Cruz, her daughters Maria Gonzales and husband, Maria D Garcia, Aida Hernandez and husband, Juanita Arriola and husband, sons Domingo Garcia and wife, Frank Garcia and Roy Garcia. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and longtime neighbors.

The family of Mrs. Garcia will receive friends tonight, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00pm with a recitation of the rosary beginning at 6:00. A Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
