A teenager is recovering after a shooting Monday night.

Port Arthur Police Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Sabine Avenue at 7:19 p.m. in response to a shooting.

They found that a 16-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The juvenile was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a press release from the police department.

The incident remains under investigation.
