Port Arthur police responded to a call of shots fired only to arrive and find no victim or evidence of a shooting in the 800 block of Savannah Avenue on Thursday.

Then, about 30 minutes later PAPD dispatch received a call from The Medical Center of Southeast Texas saying there was a black male there with a gunshot wound to his leg, according to information from the city of Port Arthur.

Police are not saying whether the two incidents are related at this time.
