Warrants issued in Nederland man’s murder

Warrants have been issued for six men in connection with the murder of a Nederland man whose body was found shot and burned in Tyler County.
On May 27, Tyler County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers initiated a murder investigation after a burnt decomposing body was discovered in a rural area off FM 92 in the Fred Area.
An autopsy revealed that a 25-year-old male, identified as Brandon Robertson of Nederland, had been shot multiple times, according to a press release from the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office.
During the murder investigation, Tyler County detectives and Texas Rangers reviewed evidence from multiple crime scenes within Jefferson and Tyler Counties.
The investigation revealed that Robertson was murdered in Jefferson County and later transported and dumped in Tyler County.
Investigative efforts by Sheriff’s detectives, Texas Rangers and Texas Parks and Wildlife Wardens led to arrest warrants being issued for a total of six people.
Jeremy Arrington, 38 of Spurger, is currently being held in the Tyler County Jail charged with tampering with physical evidence, bond set at $150,000.
James Pratt, 25 of Nederland, is currently being held in the Tyler County Jail charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence, bond set at $450,000.
Thomas Swafford, 24 of Nederland, is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence, bond set at $350,000.
Jacob Arrington, 25 of Nederland, is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence, bond set at $350,000.
Scott Ford, 28 of Orange, is currently being held at the Jasper County Jail charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence, bond set at $350,000.
