Donald Hayden Standley, 83, of Brownwood, Texas and formerly of Groves, Texas entered his heavenly home on July 18, 2017.

He was a member of First Baptist Lake Brownwood Church, graduated from PN-G in 1952. He proudly served in the US Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his father, W. F. Standley, his mother, Gladys Camper Standley (Mama Standley), his sisters, Vivian East and Gerti Mae Reed, his brothers, Howard, John, Lloyd and Paul, his daughter, Michelle, son-in-law, Edward (Bubba) Davis and 3 grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his wife, Pamela Hood Standley, brother, N.W. (Bill) Standley and wife, Bartie, sons, Donald H. Standley, Jr. and wife, Jane, James L. Standley, daughter, Sherrlyn Davis, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 5 PM till 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Donald’s life will be at 10 AM Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Clayton Thompson. Interment with Military honors will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson.
