James “Pop” Lee

James “Pop” Lee, 88, of Nederland, died Monday, July 17, 2017. He was born on September 8, 1928, in Nederland, to Nathle Matilda Katherine Grunwall and Pervis Edwin Lee.

Pop was a faithful member of Freedom Christian Fellowship Church. He was a retired Lineman for Southwestern Bell and a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War. Pop loved fishing and maintaining a garden.

Survivors include his daughters, Felicia Zak and her husband, Thom and Diane Robin and her husband, Mike; son, Arnold Lee and his wife, Peggy; grandchildren, Kaylee Robin; Sierra Lee; Jay Zak and his wife, Kassie; Justin Zak and wife, Holly; Patrick Robin; and Andrew Lee; great-grandchildren, Harper and Braylin Zak.

A gathering of Mr. Lee’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Freedom Christian Fellowship Church, 1406 Port Neches Avenue, Port Neches. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Freedom Christian Fellowship Church, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
