Sidney Paul Clark

Sidney “Sid” Paul Clark, 86, of Nederland, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was born on January 5, 1931, in Port Neches to Josephine Marie LeBlanc Clark and Marcel Clark.
Sid worked as a tugboat captain before going to work as an operator for Fina Oil Company. He enjoyed watching the tugboats at the park. He liked westerns, George Jones, gardening, and could build anything with a hammer. Sid was an avid Port Neches-Groves Indians fan. He was a faithful husband, good father, grandfather, and hard worker. Most of all, he loved his family.
Survivors include his daughters, Gwen Adkisson and her husband, George, of Freeport and Tammy Clark of Nederland; son, James Clark and his wife, Lisa, of Nederland; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews, who were always welcome in their home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl Clark; two sons, Darrell and Paul Clark; three brothers and five sisters.
A gathering of Mr. Clark’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2017, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1315 South 27th Street, Nederland, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
