According to Risa Carpenter, the city’s spokesperson, Port Arthur Police responded to an alarm at 5:5 a.m. at King’s Pharmacy on 9th Avenue.

Carpenter said the suspect or suspects gained entry from the roof.

As of deadline, the police have not released any information about the suspect or suspects, including what exact drugs were taken.

However, the police did post security camera footage from a back office where the break in occurred.

Only one man appears in the footage. The man appears to be a younger African American. Although he may have been wearing a mask when he began his endeavor, while sliding through the roof the mask falls to the floor and the man’s face is plainly visible, as is much of his torso as his shirt rides up to his neck.

Police are hopeful residents will check the police department’s Facebook page and held identify the fellow.

If anyone can recognize the man, please call the Port Arthur Police Department at 409-983-8600.
