Carolyn (Nip) Marie Charon, of Port Arthur was called to glory on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.  She was born February 1, 1952 in Port Arthur and was a lifelong resident.

Carolyn is survived by her devoted mother of 65 years, Louella Mitchell Perry; sisters, Patricia Perry Lucas, Denise Perry Samuels of Port Arthur, TX; and brothers, Leroy Perry Jr. (wife Kim) of Humble, TX and Nathan Perry Sr. of Port Arthur, TX; children Yoimara Renee Miller of Arlington, TX, Maloria Thomas (husband Cleophus, Jr.) of Upper Marlboro, MD; and Eric Charon of Port Arthur, TX; grandchildren, Alakan Thomas, Jazmyne Williams (husband Frederick), Xavia Gantz, Kendall Miller, Ian Thomas, and William Charon; and three great grandchildren Leiya, Amor, Armon, and Amaya Williams.  She also had a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, Leroy Perry, Sr.

Her interest included family, sewing, reading, and raising the village.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel.
