BEAUMONT — A 26-year-old Beaumont man has been charged with the murder of a woman found dead Saturday at Collier’s Ferry Park.

Beaumont Police arrested Brandon Julian Jamol Coleman on Wednesday for the murder of Catherine Dungan, 54, who was found dead in the parking lot of the park, according to a press release from Beaumont Police Department.

The investigation showed that Coleman had been kidnapped, bound and appeared to have been sexually assaulted.

Coleman has been charged with capital murder.
