BEAUMONT — A Port Arthur man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Beaumont on Tuesday night.

Beaumont Police responded shortly before 7 p.m. June 27 to the northbound service road in the 2100 block of Eastex Freeway. While there they found the single vehicle crash involving a Dodge Nitro that was sitting in the grassy area just east of the service road, according to a press release from the Beaumont Police Department.

The passenger of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The victim is identified as Carlos Enrique Delatorre, a 26-year-old Port Arthur man. The investigation is still on-going.
