Jewel Annette Ryan went home to be with her loved ones on June 20, 2017 at Trinity Care Center in Round Rock, Texas.

Born in Diboll, Texas, Jewel was a long-time resident of Port Arthur. She worked and retired from Southern Union Gas. She also worked at Beall’s Department Store in Central Mall for many years. She attended Memorial Baptist Church in Port Arthur and enjoyed many travels and adventures with the senior group. She and her late husband, Collis Ryan, loved bluegrass music and spent many years attending music festivals throughout Texas and Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband Collis Ryan, step-daughter Sharon Morse, and step-grandson Gary Morse. She is survived by her three step-sons, Kenneth Ryan of Groves, Jim Ryan of Port Neches, and Bob Ryan of Houston, including eight grand-children and many great grand-children.

Memorial donations may be made to the Ryan Methodist Chapel in Diboll, Texas (555 FM 2479, Diboll, Texas 75941). Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Trinity Care Center for their loving care in her last years.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ryan Methodist Chapel Cemetery.
