Evelyn Alexander Cormier, 91, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her home surrounded by family and love ones. She was born November 5, 1925 in Jeanerette, LA to Charles and Pearl Freeman Alexander. She later moved to Port Arthur, TX where she was a resident for over 60 years.

Evelyn is survived by her sons Carl A. Cormier (Deborah) of Houston, TX, Reginald W. Cormier of Port Arthur, TX and one daughter Gloria Polidore (Alvin) of Port Arthur, TX; a Grandson Bryce A. Cormier of Houston, TX; three sisters Edna Francis of Port Arthur, TX, Anna Tyler and Kate Lewis both of Jeanerette, LA; a dedicated and devoted niece Cynthia P. Forrest (Shelton); one dear friend Shirley Robertson of Port Arthur, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 12:00 – 2:00p.m. with service immediately following at 2:00p.m. at Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Randy G. Vaughn, Eulogist and Rev. Kevin McGlory, Officiant.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
