June Marie Midkiff, 82, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Oak Grove Nursing Home. She was born on January 3, 1935, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to the late, George and Pauline Oliver. June was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson and was married to Dale Gene Midkiff. June was a caregiver to many people for a number of years. She had a passion for her family, teaching Sunday school, traveling, bowling and chocolate.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Gene Midkiff. She is survived by daughter, Donna Swenson and her husband, Jerry of Beaumont; grandchildren, Stacey Romero and husband, Davey of Richwood, Texas; Jerry Swenson, III and wife Sue of Cold Springs, Texas; 3 great-grandchildren, Toby and Bradley Romero and Jerry Swenson, IV; one sister, Martha Ann Thomasson and her husband, Harry of Port Arthur, Texas; niece, Karen Boatwright and husband, Robby; nephew, Jeff Thomasson and wife Amy; 3 great nephews; 1 great niece and 1 great-great niece.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Friday, June 9, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with the Celebration of Ms. Midkiff’s life to begin at 7:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur.
