Mr. Moses P. Johnson Sr., 79, of Port Arthur died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Baptist Hospital. He was a native Crowley, LA and a longtime resident of Port Arthur, TX. Moses is a former member of the Diocese of Beaumont, and 9th Ave Senior Citizen Group.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Abraham Johnson, siblings Alice Veal, Isabella Milson, Ben Johnson, Joseph Johnson and Charles Johnson.

Moses is survived by his beloved wife Joan Johnson; two sons Kenneth (Janice), Moses Jr. (Belinda), two daughters Karen (Leon) and Michelle (James Sr.); grandchildren, Bashia, Pra’sus, Joshua, Jamirra, Tandrea, James Jr, Kentric, Marissa, April and Sequioa; great grandchild Christina; siblings Laura and Hazel; and a great niece whom he raised, Jennifer; also devoted in-laws, Ethel Boudoin, Linda (Horace) and Floyd, and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with visitation from 8 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
