Groves Police responded to the following calls from May 17 through May 23

Wednesday, May 17

  • Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 6100 East Drive.
  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 6700 block of 25th Street.
  • A suspicious person/vehicle was reported at Willow/Taft.
  • A welfare concern was reported in the 3900 block of Pure Atlantic Road.

Thursday, May 18

  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 6100 block of Capital.
  • A 50-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in the 6500 block of 39th Street.

Friday, May 19

  • A 22-year-old man was arrested for criminal trespassing in the 5500 block of Gulf.
  • A 32-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants after officers were called to a disturbance in the 6900 block of Willow.
  • An assault was reported in the 6800 block of Terrell.
  • A 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3200 block of Woodlawn.
  • A 61-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in the 6200 block of 32nd Street.

Saturday, May 20

  • A 24-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants after a disturbance was reported in the 6800 block of Manchester.

Sunday, May 21

  • Coins were stolen from a vending machine in the 5200 block of East Parkway.

Monday, May 22

  • A 23-year-old woman was arrested for possession of controlled substance in the 5200 block of East Parkway.
  • A criminal trespass warning was issued in the 3200 block of Lay Avenue.
  • A theft was reported in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.
  • Unauthorized charges to a credit card were reported in the 4200 block of Main Avenue.

Tuesday, May 23

  • A disturbance was reported in the 3900 block of Main Avenue.
  • A 27-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 5600 block of West Washington.
