BEAUMONT — Two Beaumont siblings were killed in a collision with a dump truck Friday afternoon.

The incident happened shortly before 4 pm. May 19 on Eastex Freeway northbound service road at Chinn.

Beaumont Police traffic investigators believe that a silver 4-door Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Chinn and the driver ran the stop sign, according to a press release from the Beaumont Police Department.

The Honda was struck by a dump truck traveling north on the service road. The 16-year-old driver and a 10-year-old passenger were deceased when first responders arrived.

The intersection was closed for several hours so traffic officers could investigate the crash and clear the roadway.

The driver was identified as Jordan Brown, 16, of Beaumont, and his 10-year-old sister, Jadyn Brown.
