Kearnis Richard, 80, of Port Arthur died Monday morning, April 24, 2017 at Altus Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.  A native of Ville Platte, LA, he was a resident of Port Arthur, TX since 1949 and a retired member of the International Longshoreman’s Association, Local #440.

He is preceded in death by his father Charlie Richard, mother, Lovicy and brothers, Calvin, Rogers and Allen Richard.

Survivors include, wife, Josephine Richard; son, Gregory Richard; daughter, Cindy White; grandson, Dion White; two brothers, Ervin and Larry Richard; sister, Rena Jones; sisters, Lou Richard and Gloria Allen; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
