Katherine Fisk-Ballard

Katherine Fisk-Ballard was born July 1, 1936 to Winfield and Mary Fisk in Port Arthur, Texas. She passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, April 21, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.
She was one of eleven children. Katherine was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Port Arthur, Texas class of 1955. After high school she relocated to Los Angeles, California where she attended college.
Katherine met James Ballard and the two were married, May 1, 1956.
She and James had two daughters, Cynthia and Francine.
Katherine was known for being active in all of her families’ lives and having a strong personality.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Winfield, Jr., Earl, Raymond and Charles as well as her three sisters: Bernice, Gloria and Hazel.
Katherine is survived by her daughters, Cynthia and Francine; her three grandchildren, Cameron, Erica and Justin; her three great grandchildren, Khalil, Kamryn and Khaliyah; her sisters, Elizabeth, Sharon (Levi) and Francine (Allen); and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3814 Nash Boulevard, San Antonio, TX 78223. Entombment will follow at Mission Burial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, her family requests contributions in Katherine’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association ~ www.heart.org.
