Mrs. Isabell Hughes, of Port Arthur died Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in the comforts of her home.  She was born in Bellevue, LA in 1927. She was a resident of Port Arthur for over 60 years and currently a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.  She was retired and loved bingo.

Survivors include: her sister, Willie Mae Lavergne; reared son, Joe Thomas; grandchildren, Ann, Mimi, Nathan, John and Allen; relatives and friends, Jackson Family, Rhonda Faye, Phyllis, Liz, Babbie, Jerene, Dee Dee, and Jessie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Ray Frank, Sr. officiating.  Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
