Loyce Caldwell Coleman

Loyce Caldwell Coleman, 88, of Nederland, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Houston. Loyce was born on November 10, 1928 in Port Neches, Texas to the late James William Caldwell and Mary Ophelia Angele Caldwell. She was a lifelong resident of Nederland and she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nederland. Loyce, loving wife, mother, grand, great and great-great grandmother, loved to travel, square dance and play bridge with her husband and friends. She raised three children and was very active on church committees, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Cub Scout den mother, Baseball mom and Alpha Delta Pi mom.

Loyce is survived by her loving husband of 67 years , Miles Madison Coleman, Jr. of Nederland; daughter, Cynde Lomonte of Missouri City; sons, Miles Madison Coleman III and wife, Peggy Jean of Vidor and S. Russell Coleman and wife, Phyliss of League City; sister, Gloria Feldschau of Nederland; grandchildren, Cher Lake, Melinda & Tony Nyikos, Cherilyn & Jason Polliard, Natalie Lomonte, Matt Lomonte and Miles Madison Coleman IV and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Taylor & Tyler Deans, Kelsey Lake, Jayden Polliard, Aubrey Polliard, Miles Madison Coleman V, Landen Coleman, Sydney Savoie and Bailey Manning; great-great grandchildren, Levi Deans and Nolan Deans.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home, in Nederland. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Melancon’s with Rev. Toney Miller officiating. The interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, TX.
