Dutch readers have questions about Trump

The election of President Donald Trump seems to puzzle some of the people in the Netherlands and now they are reaching out to residents in Nederland for answers.
The Port Arthur News and Sybilla Claus, the Americas editor for the Christian daily newspaper Trouw of Amsterdam, are working together on this project.
The Dutch newspaper began during Germany Nazi occupation in 1943 as an illegal paper by protestant-reformed citizens, Claus said.
Claus has done her research and learned about 80 percent of Nederland citizens voted for Trump and some of her project is to show Holland the Trump voters, how they think, feel and live. Europe is a predominately Democratic area hence the reason for questions.
It seems as if The Netherlands are not ready for a Trump-like candidate. Anti-Islam lawmaker Geert Wilders campaigned on radical pledges to close borders to migrants from Muslim countries, close mosques and to ban the Quran in his bid for the prime minister seat, according to time.com. He lost.
