NEDERLAND ROUTS MEMORIAL IN SOCCER

Meg Sheppard continued her outstanding play this season with four goals in Nederland’s 6-2 girls soccer win at Port Arthur Memorial on Monday.

The game closed the regular season for both teams. Nederland (17-2-2, 11-2-1 in 22-5A) finished second in the district and will play Barbers Hill either next Thursday or Friday at a time and location to be determined.

Memorial finished its season missing the playoffs, but got two goals from Guadalupe Contreras and Yvette Mendoza.
