BPD: Katy woman found with meth, MDMA

BEAUMONT — A traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and the arrest of a Katy woman Thursday night.

Officers with the Beaumont Police Department’s Special Assignment Unit made the stop shortly before 8 p.m. in the 3300 block of Concord.

During the stop they found 25.6 grams of methamphetamine, 5.4 grams of MDMA and 5.4 grams of acetaminophen as well as marijuana, according to a press release from BPD.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Shelby Andrews, 25, was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of a dangerous drug and one count of possession of marijuana.
