PAFD responds to suspicious fire

Port Arthur firefighters responded to a suspicious fire at Procter and Denbo on Monday.
Firefighters got to the scene around 3:10 p.m. and the last crew left around 6:10 p.m., according to information from the Fire Marshal’s office.
The building was vacant and had no utilities connected.
The investigation is open as to the cause of the blaze.
Anyone who may have seen someone around the building or near the building when the fire occurred is asked to call PAFD at 983-8737 or the Arson Tip Line at 983-8715. The caller may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
