Virginia Price Davis

Virginia Price Davis, 95, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Community Retirement Home.

Virginia was born on March 21, 1921 in Clarksville, Indiana to parents Mattie Lora and Lent Price. She had lived in the Port Arthur area for 75 years and she was a business woman in the Port Arthur area for 50 plus years; owner and operator of Bryant’s Bootery and Cambridge Shoe Palace. Virginia also worked 15 years for the St. Mary’s Hospital Gift Shop as a purchasing agent and manager. She enjoyed crocheting and she was avid reader. Virginia was a loving person who will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John  David Bryan; her second husband, Eldridge Eugene Davis; her daughter, Lora Elizabeth Wolford; her siblings, Howard Price, Coley Price and Marie Price Miller.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Pamela Carol Walters of Port Neches; grandchildren, Kimberly Walters Jackson, Roxanne D. Walters, Leslie G. Wolford, Whitney Holman Bell and John Davis Holman. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4 pm until 7 pmat Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2 pm at Clayton Thompson funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
