Darold Joseph Frederick Sr., 73, of Port Acres passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Darold was born on May 30, 1943 in Kaplan, Louisiana to parents, Leonard Joseph Frederick and Gladys Marie (David) Frederick. He had lived in the Port Acres for 46 years. Darold retired from Vessel Repair, where he was a purchasing agent. He enjoyed telling jokes, family crawfish boils, an avid Cowboy fan and he was a Little League Baseball Coach in Port Acres for 17 years. Darold was a family man, who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Freddy John Frederick; sister, Nora Lee Broussard.

Darold is survived by his loving wife, Anita Frederick of Port Acres, TX; sons, Darold Joseph Frederick Jr. and wife Wendy of Hockley, TX, Garland Earl Pack Jr. and wife, LaDonna of New Braunfels, TX; Roy-Winston Frederick and wife, Shannon New Braunfels, TX; daughter; Rhonda Lynn Hall and husband, Rodney of Port Acres. He also survived by his grandchildren, Reagan Hall, Roddy Hall, Darold Joseph Frederick III, George Austin Pack, Roland P. Frederick, Sloane Frederick, Savanna Pack, Sydney Frederick and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 7 pm at Jay Avenue Baptist Church in Port Acres, with a visitation from 6 pm until 9 pm at the church. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
