JEFFERSON COUNTY — Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the discovery of human remains found in west Jefferson County.

Deputies were called to the 22000 block of Sattler Road around 2:30 p.m. Dec. 10 after a landowner clearing land discovered bones. Investigators believe the bones are human but do not know if they are male or female or even how long they have been there. They will continue to search the area for any additional remains, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.
