LU’s TEBO, BETHANY PICKED FOR FCS SENIOR SCOUT BOWL

Lamar seniors Omar Tebo and Xavier Bethany received invitations to play in the FCS Senior Scout Bowl on Friday in Myrtle Beach, S.C., game officials announced Monday.

Bethany was a second-team All-Southland Conference cornerback who finished with 103 tackles, three interceptions, five pass breakups and a fumble recovery. Bethany made All-Southland each of his last three seasons and started 34 of 44 games, amassing 300 career tackles and seven career picks.

Tebo started in 35 games during that span, breaking into the starting lineup as a true freshman. He recorded nearly 150 stops during his career as a nose tackle, 16.5 of them for losses and 3.5 of those for sacks.
