Signing with the Cardinals are guard Jadyn Pimentel and post player Rikiah Cowart. The Cardinals, who have had the top-ranked recruiting class in the Southland Conference in each of the last three seasons, have just two seniors on this year’s squad.

Pimentel, who attends Parkway North High School in St. Louis, was ranked the fourth-best player in Missouri and the 60th best point guard in the nation by Dan Olson Collegiate Girls Basketball Report. The 5-foot-4 guard was ranked 223rd overall nationally in the same report.

Pimentel averaged 10.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 2.7 assists per game as a junior last season at Parkway North. She played summer league basketball with the Missouri Phenom.

The 6-foot-1 Cowart was ranked as the 20th-best post player in the nation by ESPN HoopGurlz. As a junior at Nova High School in Davie, Fla., Cowart averaged 14 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest. An honor-roll student every year at Nova High School, Cowart played summer basketball for the South Florida Lady Jaguars and Miami Suns.
