Eugena “Gena” Mae Currie, 88, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Azalea Trails Assisted Living in Tyler, Texas. Gena was born June 27, 1928 in Berwick, Pennsylvania to the late Floyd and Irene Creveling.

Gena was a life time member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Port Arthur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy “Leo” Currie. Gena is survived by her son, Jimmy “Jim” Currie and his wife, Jenny; daughter, Genie Hallmark and husband Jack; and one granddaughter, Holly Champagne.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
