Marlene Ann Moss Thibodeaux, 81, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016. She was born on April 30, 1935, in Port Arthur, to Evelyn Olivier Moss and Gordy Moss.
Survivors include her children, Becky Caswell of Deweyville; Gwen Walden of Beaumont; Bill Forse and his wife, Sue, of Bridge City; Tricia Beaver and her husband, Steve, of Port Neches; Jennifer Phillips and her husband, Barry, of Starks, Louisiana; Michelle Stansbury and her husband, Howard, of Deweyville; Rick Forse and his wife, Brenda, of Deweyville; Steve Forse and his wife, Carrie, of Buna; Jody Forse and his wife, Suzanne, of Corpus Christi; and Reese Forse and his wife, Janie, of Orange; sisters, Rita Moss of Port Arthur; Lorraine Blanchard and her husband, Paul, of Port Arthur; and Sue Howard and her husband, Gary, of Groves; brother, Butch Moss of Orange; twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three, great-great-grandchildren; and stepson, Bobby Thibodeaux of Beaumont.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip “Ray” Thibodeaux; parents, Gordy and Evelyn Moss; sister, Edna Rodney; and brother, Bud Moss.
The family of Mrs. Thibodeaux would like to thank the nurses and staff of Oak Grove Nursing Home, as well as the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice.
A gathering of Mrs. Thibodeaux’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4600 Procter Street, Port Arthur, with her entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Havens, Shane Forse, Justin Forse, Kaleb Beaver, Tod Phillips, R. J. Phillips, Howard Stansbury III, Trent Forse, Peyton Forse, and Logan Forse.
