Murphy Terrence Thompson, 50, of Nederland, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016. Murphy was born March 13, 1966 in Roatan, Honduras. Murphy was a caring person with a good heart and a friend to all. He would do anything for a friend in need. He loved sports, was a great father and enjoyed watching his son play baseball.

He is survived by wife, April Thompson of Kountze, TX; son, Kyler Thompson of Kountze, TX; daughter, Bethany Thompson of Roatan, Honduras; father, Orville Thompson of Roatan, Honduras and mother, Sheila Jackson of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Craig Thompson and wife, Amanda of Nederland; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, TX.
