Patricia Ann Nagle “Pat” Bryant, 87, of Groves, TX, died Thursday, September 29, 2016.
She was born to the late Edgar Thomas and Eloise Thatcher Nagle on February 16, 1929 in Austin, TX.
After her graduation from Paschal High School in Fort Worth, Patricia earned her BS from the University of Texas in 1949, and her Masters in Education from Lamar University. She married the late Leo Donnell Bryant, Jr. in 1950 and they celebrated 60 years of marriage together in Groves, TX.
Patricia retired after 20 years of service as a middle school science teacher with the Port Arthur ISD and was also an active member of the United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur, where she served as a volunteer in several church organizations.
Pat and Leo loved to travel together and enjoyed many trips around the world throughout the years. Her other hobbies included gardening, cooking, reading and stock trading.
Preceded in death by her husband, Leo D. Bryant, Jr. as well as her siblings, Cornelia (Necie) Nagle Clements and Edgar Thomas (Tom) Nagel.
Patricia is survived by four children: Leo Donnell (Don) Bryant of Longmont, CO; Robert Edgar (Bob) Bryant and wife Lynn of Tyler, TX; Janet Cole of Austin, TX; and Joanie Caskey of Missouri City, TX. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Patricia was a devoted and loving wife and mother who will be remembered fondly, and missed dearly by her family and friends.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Reverend Adam Muckleroy officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
