Doris Marie Roy, 79, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Dubuis Hospital-Christus St. Mary in Port Arthur.
She was born on November 16, 1936 to Florence Bailey Sessions and Henry Sessions in
Port Arthur, Texas. Doris was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. She worked as floor manager for Wyatt’s Cafeteria and Luby’s Cafeteria. Doris also worked as a gate guard at Sandoz Chemical.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Connie Sessions and her daughter, Evelyn Denise Warner.
Doris is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Roy of Port Arthur, her two daughters, Sherrel Chisholm and her husband, Willie of Groves, Peggy Sue Roy of California, her three sons, Aubrey Roy and his wife, Liz of Louisiana, Charlie Roy and his wife, Cyn of Bridge City and Teddy Roy of Port Arthur along with 20 grandchildren, 30 plus great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is also survived by her two sisters, Dora Hurley of Nederland and JoEllen Waddell of Bridge City, her three brothers, Pat Sessions and his wife, Liz of Nederland, Ralph Sessions of Groves, Bill Sessions and his wife, Grace of Port Arthur, numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service to honor Doris’s life will be at 10:00 AM Friday, September 30, 2016 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors.
